I am posting a picture I took in June 1995; 3 miles above MO Highway 76. I would say that’s way up the North Fork; this was after two days of moderate rain. The bottom up in that area all the way down to Topaz is bedrock and very little gravel. the river is pristine and so clear up there, and there are a surprisingly good population of smaller smallmouth bass in the pools.
