I came to live here on the North Fork in 1951. Life was different then. Coal oil lamps, wood cook stoves, outhouses, longboats and lots of big rainbow trout...stocked by the MDC, as early as 1925.

I am third generation here in what is now the Wild Trout Management Area. The history of this river is alive through the stories of the old-timers whose tales have been passed on to me.

Myron steadies the boat for client Dr. Doug H. from Evansville, IL.
Myron, on the right, with a client.

I have one of the best jobs imaginable, being the steward of River of Life Farm, and taking folks down this superlative trout stream.

The client's enjoyment is the goal. Just being here is enough... catching these beautiful North Fork Rainbows is the bonus.
