| Dear Myron and Ann:
It was great to see you again, you are wonderful hosts.
WOW - what a place we got to stay in!!!!! I hate to even mention the name of our place of abode because that way I will be the only one to stay there and I don't have to share this most
wondrous house that is built high up in the trees overlooking the river and inside is this magnificent staircase of red cedar going up to the loft which also overlooks the river. I would highly recommend the
Tree House.
I imagine the next time I come down the dumb waiter will be working and I won't have to carry my supplies up the twenty-five stairs to the deck!!! Truthfully it was not bad and it was good exercise. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening after a great day of fishing and listening to the whippor-wills and the river talking, what a way to relax.
Fishing is tough, I had to remind myself this is wild trout area and I would have to be good with my casting and line management if I had a chance to catch a rainbow or brown. The first day on the river was from The Falls to Blair Bridge by canoe. We caught a few rainbows, and also got acquainted with the rivers riffles and deep holes.
Wednesday we put in at Kelly Ford in the AM and stopped at riffles. We stopped at the big rock just above McKee Bridge where I got a 14-15 inch rainbow on a crackle back and small split shot , nymphing without an indicator through that area. We stopped and had lunch and kicked back until 4 PM and then started from Tree House down to Blair Bridge. I was fortunate and caught a 14 inch brown out of one of the riffles and on a tip from Myron fished the riffle above Blair and caught another rainbow in the 14-15 inch range.
I had a great day and am looking forward to my next trip.
Thanks again for everything ---------
