I started the morning fishing just below the Falls, using nymphs. After spending more time removing moss than fish, I turned my attention to using wet flies.

I decided to use a size 14 Crackleback on the swing. After about 3 casts I had a nice Rainbow of about 10 inches. I stayed with the Crackleback catching another 2 Rainbows of about the same size until it was time to canoe the river.

That evening after dinner I decided to try Jack's riffle. I went with the Crackleback again. Soon I had 2 more Rainbows. The real treat of the evening was the last fish of the night. I set the line out across the current and let it swing through the riffle. The fish hit and made a run that came near to sending the backing out. I stayed with the fish letting it run. When it came in I had a 3 ½ to 4-pound Brown. I was unprepared for this, i.e. No camera and no witnesses, just the fun of catching a very nice fish.

Thanks for the great time at River of Life Farm.
