I had a great time at your resort this past weekend (August 14 & 15). I found your website several months ago and bookmarked it knowing I would have to give your place a try.

After setting up camp I got in the water late Saturday afternoon and caught a 15 inch rainbow right away. The river began to get a little crowded with canoes so I took a break until they thinned out. When I got back in the water the trout didn't seem interested but a carp provided me with the final battle of the day, when it took my San Juan worm.

The weather was perfect for camping Saturday night, something I don't do often enough. I built a fire, cooked a steak, then sat and watched the shooting stars and listened to the animals and the water flowing nearby.

Sunday morning I began fishing at rainbow alley and worked my way back to your place. I caught 4 more rainbows on the way. Thank you for recommending and providing me with those black rubber leg flies, I caught a fish with the first cast using it. The other three trout I took on my old reliable olive woolly bugger size 10, bead head.

On my next trip to the ROLF I'll have more time to explore the North Fork River and will make use of one of your canoes.

See you soon
